The breach, discovered by security researcher Sourajeet Majumder, revealed that personal details such as full names, phone numbers, email addresses, shipping addresses, and order histories were accessible on the company’s website. Majumder emphasised the critical importance of privacy for a brand dealing with intimate products, stating that the exposed data could be exploited for extortion or other malicious purposes. He has contacted India’s Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) regarding the issue, but Durex India has not yet issued a public comment on the breach or its plans for remediation.
